The Daisy:Â Mild Neuro-Cognitive Decline
Mild to moderate memory Loss evident. Person benefits from repetition, reminders, and routine. Supervision needed for appointments, trips, medication and financial management. May learn new things with modifications.Â
The Violet:Â Moderate Neuro-Cognitive Decline
Severe memory loss and loss of orientation to day, date, time, place is evident. Person needs 24/7 supervision and possibly paid care. Creating a meaningful day that helps person experience joy is key
The Rose:Â Severe Neuro-Cognitive Decline
Complete memory loss and loss of orientation except to self is evident. Person lacks effective communication skills and care partner relies on body language. Person needs 24/7 care with attention to creating a meaningful day and meeting all their basic needs. Hospice care discussions may be appropriate.
The Bouquet:Â Advanced Neuro-Cognitive Decline
Person may be non-communicative with little eye contact. 100% reliant on a care partner for all aspects of care. Person may still have access to their senses, and can experience quality of life through a sensory approach. Special focus needed to support the primary care partner. Hospice care is appropriate.
